The Winter Solstice is the day when the Sun is lowest on the horizon at its peak, marking the midpoint of Winter. The Winter Solstice usually drops on the 21st or 22nd of December here in the Northern Hemisphere. To mark this annual occasion, we’re going to break out a drink recipe we first covered in 2011, the Winter Solstice. Fitting right in with the rest of the holiday drinks, this cocktail features tones of citrus and pomegranate.

Christmas is the king of Western holidays. Not only does Christmas get all the attention, and mark the culmination of another year, but it also has the widest variety of specialty cocktails. Today, I’m going to investigate another Christmas champagne cocktail, the Mistletoe. The slightly reddish hue automatically makes you think, “Ah, this drink fits in with the red and green of Christmas”. But our Mistletoe recipe also has a flavor palate that fits in with the holiday season.
Spider’s Kiss Drink Recipe
Halloween is one of the biggest drinking holidays, trailing only behind St. Patrick’s Day and Christmas as major excuses to party. One of the coolest Halloween drinks that I’ve found is the Spider’s Kiss. For starters, there is a spiderweb made of chocolate at the bottom. Inside of the glass, there is a reddish-orange libation, with some fruity flavors and rum to spice things up. It’s garnished with a chocolate dipped orange, how cool is that?
