You just can’t have a proper holiday season without eggnog. With that in mind, today we’re featuring a Christmas cocktail called the White Christmas. The 4th of July is the apex for summer parties here in the States. Barbecues, beergaritas, fireworks; and of course, the red, white and blue. Since tomorrow is Independence Day, and we’ve been doing so well with layered shots recently, we felt it was a good time to break out the Red White and Blue Shot. Dating back to at least the 1800s, it started life as one of the original mocktails. By the turn of the last century, it had firmly established itself as a cocktail for the ages. Though there are a variety of whiskeys that you can grace this cocktail with, we made our Horse’s Neck with Jameson Irish whiskey. My verdict is that the Horse’s Neck is not only perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, but for any day of the year.
