Festivus is one of the newer winter holidays, joining the ranks of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. While these more established holidays revolve around religious and cultural celebration, Festivus started as one family’s tradition. In a relatively short amount of time, the Festivus (usually held on December 23rd) has become a niche part of Western culture. Winter Solstice Recipe
The Winter Solstice is the day when the Sun is lowest on the horizon at its peak, marking the midpoint of Winter. The Winter Solstice usually drops on the 21st or 22nd of December here in the Northern Hemisphere. To mark this annual occasion, we’re going to break out a drink recipe we first covered in 2011, the Winter Solstice. Fitting right in with the rest of the holiday drinks, this cocktail features tones of citrus and pomegranate.

Vodka Soaked Gummy Bears
It’s all you hear about on TV these days. Kids are bringing Vodka Soaked Gummy Bears to school and getting wasted. Well, why should they have all the fun? Silly rabbit, getting intoxicated is for adults. We sat around and thought, “Hey, we need to find out what the vodka gummy bears craze is all about”. One thing we discovered is no way can kids eat these and not have the smell of vodka all over their breath. Another thing we found is that you can get a good happy buzz from the alcoholic bears, but you’re not going to get fall down drunk.
