Presentation counts for a lot with cocktails. The first time I made the Winter Sky cocktail, I was struck by the vivid blue hue, and how appropriate the name was. The cool blue provided by the curacao provides a sharp contrast to the red of the cherry floating in the bottom of the glass. This drink fits a winter theme,and is easy to make.
Winter Sky
- 1½ oz orange vodka
- ½ oz blue curacao
- 1–2 oz champagne
- Maraschino cherry

Add orange vodka and blue curacao to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a wine glass. Top with champagne, garnish with a cherry. Serve, enjoy, and repeat!
As blue as a clear mountain sky in December, the Winter Sky lives up to its name. Subtle orange flavor from the orange vodka and blue curacao is tempered by the fizz of the champagne. This Christmas drink is a perfect complement to the Mistletoe champagne cocktail.
