While looking for new holiday drinks for this year’s videos, I happened upon a recipe entitled A Taste of Winter. This sublime cocktail combines a few upscale ingredients to create something amazing. This drink’s flavor palate fits the winter theme to perfection, with tones of citrus, cherry, and orange. So crank up the tunes, grab yourself a glass, because the winter is about to warm up in a hurry.

Total Time:
Add citrus vodka, Cherry Herring, and Galliano to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a Collins glass with ice. Top with tonic water, and garnish with a maraschino cherry or two. Serve with a straw and enjoy!
A Taste of Winter is an amazing holiday themed drink resonating with cherry, orange, citrus, and vanilla flavors. Cherry Heering, Galliano, citrus vodka, and tonic water combine to create something greater than the sum of their parts.
This wasn’t the original recipe that I used for this recipe. The first version of this recipe that I found was much heavier on the vodka, and much too strong. This version of the recipe is much more balanced between the vodka, Cherry Heering, and Gallino. The flavor reminds me of orange cranberry sauce, even though there is no orange in the drink. The complex flavors have to come from the interaction of the Galliano with the other ingredients.
